i am back to drawing! didn't spend much time on this, but after taking the weekend off, i just wanted to get something online.

i have tried this style before, but this time it ended up looking appealing, which is good!

also, tried to try a halo outline technique.

theme: "Champion"

this is a champion from the game "League of Legends." i usually play as him. his name is Renekton.

i usually draw super clean, so this is my attempt to get away from that more. it really helped me get down a character that i'm not used to drawing, and allowed me to leave out some details that i don't know. plus, it made hashing out the pose more fun. i did use Photoshop's liquify tool to modify the pose slightly.

Egypt: Horus

today is Themed-Thursday, and this week's theme is Egypt. so, i drew the king of the Egyptian gods, Horus.

cereal

i am going to cheat again and post something that i didn't make today. this is something i've been working on for a design class the past three weeks, and it was finished yesterday afternoon. it's really really big, because we are having posters printed.

the cereal is actually a CC licensed picture of a slice of bread, and the bowl is also a CC licensed picture. i created the font for the word "Krispies" by hand with the pen tool in Photoshop.

comic for the paper

i actually drew this last night. i am very aware this is cheating. watch me not care!

i do an opinion comic for the school paper, which results in very little money and a whole lot of controversy. which is kinda fun.

backstory is this: a few years ago, the dining commons (or DC) stopped providing trays for students in order to save money on water and wasted food.

this year, a shiny new television appeared above the dirty dishes belt, courtesy of Student Senate. some thought that this was a misappropriation of funds, and many students had strong feelings about it.

last night, i saw that the screen was cracked. i came back to my room, drew this, and submitted it to the paper. it will be in the next issue.
